Packing My Mod Mommy Bag for the Hospital

I had my first daughter 30 days early and had no time to pack a bag of essentials and comfort items for the hospital. This time around, I was determined to pack a hospital bag well in advance!

For my bag, I used one of our Mod Mommy Bags – they’re a nice, lightweight multi-purpose bag in a variety of fun prints. I’ve picked the Black & White Damask print.

Inside, I’ve packed some essentials that I definitely missed last time (like a hairbrush and toothbrush) and some extra comfort items that will be nice extras for this time! Here’s what I’ve packed:

  • toothbrush & toothpaste
  • hair brush & hair elastic
  • lip balm
  • socks
  • nursing bra from Bellies
  • cloth nursing pads from Bosom Babies
  • Earth Mama Angel Baby Mama’s Nipple Butter from Bosom Babies
  • nursing shirt from Bellies
  • comfy pants
  • going home outfit for baby
  • baby blanket
  • handmade slippers from Little Jumping Beans (for me)
  • medications
  • camera with fully charged battery
  • cell phone charger
  • handmade robe from plum pretty sugar (if it arrives on time – I’ve just ordered it!)
  • packaged snacks for hubby and for after labour (to throw in as we leave!)

With baby scheduled to arrive any day, I love the feeling of having all of these items in my bag ready to go!

What did you pack in your hospital bag?
